Yeah, I'm doing the July 4th thing again this year.  Friday, July 4th starting at 3:00 (and going on until question marks!).

Friday!   Friday! FRIDAY! Come SEE:

  • Food! We feast on meats!  Bring a side dish, if you like!
  • Drink! BYOB.
  • And, the ever popular feedle spends WAY TOO MUCH ON FIREWORKS!
Okay, well, that's a bit much.  You get the message.

New Features!

Okay, so I've implemented a couple of new features here on the website.

First off, I would like to invite everybody I know personally to create an account.  The reason for this is simple: I will be tying your account here to my personal address book, to allow you to edit your own information in your address book entry I keep with me.  If you make a change to your address or phone information, it will promote back up to my personal address book.

I've also started feature-adding a bit.  There's now a Flash games arcade.  I'll probably be adding a webboard shortly, as well as migrating some of the files of projects into a filebase.

Some notes...

A couple of quick notes on the state of this website, now that I've officially cut over from LiveJournal.

First off, while you should be able to RSS feed this page (a couple of people have reported mixed results, and I'm checking into that), you should probably actually RSS feed the page at http://feedle.net/blog/ , especially if you are looking for the "LiveJournal replacement" content.  That is going to be the "bloggy" page, and I will likely point out interesting content elsewhere on feedle.net over there.

Secondly, I've decided not to backfill LiveJournal directly.  I will likely syndicate, and I'll post more information about the LJ syndication as I do it.

You may also correctly observe that I'm not 100% ready to go live on the site here yet.  The scaffolding is still around, and I haven't quite finished painting.  *chuckle*  So, bear with me over the next couple of weeks while I get everything set up the way I want it.

Lastly, it is worth pointing out that content from the moremayo.com site will slowly migrate into here and disappear from there.  Eventually, I will do something else with the mayo site.. but we'll see what happens along those lines.

Leaving LiveJournal

On May 1, 2008, I will no longer post original content to LiveJournal. I will, instead, be stuffing my LJ account with updates of content from my personal homepage (http://www.feedle.net).

My reasons for this are complex, and it's not exclusively because of the latest wank-a-thon. I freely admit that the latest wank-a-thon is a "last straw", but it is not for the reasons a lot of you are complaining about.
